Personal Thanks

We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the workers and friends in the Rania Plain, who have supported our project with admirable dedication, meticulous care, and genuine warmth throughout the years. Their contribution extends far beyond the practical: they have welcomed us into their community, shared their knowledge of the land, and made our fieldwork not only possible but truly memorable.

Drone imagery, photogrammetric documentation, and cartographic work for the project have been carried out over successive seasons by the following surveyors and topographers (listed in alphabetical order): Pshtiwan Ali · Francesca Chelazzi · Muhammed Hama Amin · Ivan Kisjes · Emanuele Mariotti · Matteo Merlino · Emanuele Taccola · Martin Uildriks.

We are equally indebted to the students and colleagues who have participated in our missions over the seasons. Whether examining our pottery assemblages, patiently counting and cataloguing animal bones, or simply offering invaluable advice to refine our methods and interpretations, each contribution has enriched this project immeasurably. Archaeological research is, at its core, a collaborative pursuit, and we are profoundly grateful to everyone who has lent their expertise, their time, and their enthusiasm to the Rania Archaeological Project.
